Cleaning an Apple Keyboard

Pasted Graphic 267

After a few years of constant use, my once virgin-white Apple Wireless keyboard was starting to look a little grungy. I gave it the once over with a moist paper towel, but it still looked a little gross in between the keys. I even gave it the Q-tip treatment, but to no avail. It just didn’t look “like new”.

To my surprise, I found that those keys pop right off with little force. Once all the keys were removed, getting the gunk out from under the keys was pretty easy. I was also able to clean out the dust-bunnies from some of the bigger keys (return, space bar, etc) that I would never have reached with a Q-tip.

So if your keyboard is looking a little grungy, fear not. Restoring your precious Apple Keyboard to a factory-shine is a snap.
