I'm a total Apple addict, as you might tell.

4th Gen iPod Shuffles

Merry Christmas everyone!

What better way is there to celebrate the holidays than with some new Apple goodies? I myself didn't get anything new…since I already have EVERYTHING! But I treated my kids to some new Shuffles. Sure, they have iPads already… I just though Shuffles would be cool.

I picked them up some 4th gen iPod Shuffles. These are the same as the one I picked up for my wife in 2011. It's crazy that they haven't seen a significant upgrade in 3 years. Seems like a dead product. I guess it is what it is. It's a one trick pony. It does what it does, but it does it well. If you need something that's simple to use, looks great, takes up zero space, and just works…then the iPod Shuffle is it. I honestly think it's hard to improve on this current design. That's probably one of the main reasons why there's no 5th gen Shuffle. If it isn't broken, don't fix it.

I picked up three different colors so they wouldn't fight over them.

Needless to say, the kids love them. I did however have them ditch the dinky headphones for some Skull Candy. Those little earbuds really don't fit in kid's ears. So now they have an iPad and a Shuffle. It's only a matter of time before I dump their crappy eMachines and buy them iMacs. I'll make fanboys out of them yet!
