1983 Vintage Apple II Games

Pasted Graphic 1126

I scored some sweet Apple II games in mint unopened boxes for $5 each. You can’t get much better than that! I almost feel bad opening them!

I haven’t played these games in this format in a good 20 years. My kids have been playing on their Wii all night, so they should be good for a laugh.

The Moon Patrol box is a little bit larger than the 5.25” floppy, but the Pac-Man and Donkey Kong boxes are magazine sized. Much bigger than I expected/remember.

The game starts up and gives you the choice of playing with the keyboard or a joystick. You then choose how many players.

Of course, the games run on either the II or the IIc.

I wasted the better part of my youth trying to beat this game on my //c. I don’t think I every got to the end. I sure miss the color display I had. This game looked pretty cool in color.

Good times. Good times. Needless to say, my 5 and 7 year olds got a kick of these. I think I’m in the market for a new joystick.
