I'm a total Apple addict, as you might tell.

My New iPod Mini

I picked up a new Mini from eBay.

The last one I got from eBay was only $40 because it was in need of repair. I figured, as well as the seller, that it was most likely the hard drive. I tried to swap out the drive with various forms of flash memory. However, nothing worked. I think it is indeed a problem with the logic board. Needless to say, that is going back up on eBay for “parts or repair”.

I picked up a new iPod mini. And when I say new, I mean new. It’s mint in the box. It’s used, but it looks like the day it was purchased. I am amazed at how mint it is; right down to the Apple stickers, and the “Don’t steal music” plastic wrap that comes on the iPod.

Also included was a Griffin “PowerPod” car charger, a Griffin iTrip, and an Agent18 hard-shell, shock resistant case. All of them are still in the boxes. I got all of this for only $140! Amazing!

A 4 Gig Silver iPod Mini. Mint in the box. Including everything that it shipped with.

An Agent18 mini shock case. This is pretty cool. It’s hard plastic and is lined with rubber bumpers for shock protection.

The Griffin iTrip and Power Pod. Both with all the trimmings.

The previous owner even kept the plastic wrap.

Everything that originally came with it is included. All in perfect condition.

I like the simplistic design of the original belt clip, but it offers no scratch protection.

The iPod fits snugly inside the Agent18 case and will remain well protected for years to come!

It’s so nice. I don’t think I’m going to crack it open and swap out the drive for flash just yet. Maybe I’ll wait until the novelty wears off, or the hard drive dies.

This is definitely my favorite iPod, and my new iPod for the car. Don’t get me wrong, The new Nanos and the Touch are awesome and I’d love to have one. But there is definitely something to be said for the older Mini. It feels so solid. It feels like a $200 music player! I guess it’s true what they say. “What’s old is new again”!
